Ces 2022 Brings New Technology To The World — Updov Blog
The annual Consumer Electronics Show was held this year on January 5–7 in Las Vegas, USA. The 2021 CES Exhibition was held online in 2021 due to the corona epidemic, and despite the widespread spread of the omicron variant in the United States today, the 2022 CES Exhibition is being held with restrictions. Here are some of the ones I found to be interesting:
The latest mobile phones
Several of the world’s leading companies have already unveiled the latest mobile phones to hit the market in 2022 at this year’s CES show. Samsung continues its FE (Fan Edition) range of phones with the launch of the S21 FE, which was supposed to be released last year, but it’s good news for consumers who have been waiting for it.
Samsung’s flagship phone for the year 2021 (S21), the S21 FE, which comes with all the features and capabilities of the Android 12 version, was introduced at a slightly lower price of $ 700.
Many phone manufacturers now make foldable screens. Following the success of Samsung’s Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 phones currently on the market, they have introduced some of the latest concept foldable phones and tablets at CES this year. They were named Flex S and Flex G.
These are designed to bend the screen in two places. This allows the larger screen to be easily folded and moved. The Flex S is designed so that one part of the screen is visible when folded. But Flex G is more suitable for someone who does not have such a need.
Oneplus’s flagship phone, the Oneplus 10 Pro, was unveiled at the CES 2022 show. Oneplus said it had made significant changes to the phone’s appearance and would continue to maintain agreement with Hasselblad, a camera and photography giant.
It is reported that Hasselblad, which only contributed to the color combination of the photos on the Oneplus 9 Pro, has gone even further and contributed to the camera of this new phone. The phone is expected to be released in 2022 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The Oneplus 10 Pro was launched in the Chinese market on the 11th of this month, but no release date or pricing has been announced yet for other countries.
New introductions from the automotive world
This year CES saw several launches related to automotive technology. Among them was BMW’s color-changing iX Flow. It uses the same E-Ink technology used for e-Readers devices such as the Amazon Kindle.
It consists of a group of small capsules placed very close to each other. The capsule contains negatively charged white ink particles and positively charged black ink particles. The electric field applied to the sides of the capsule allows the white or black ink to move up or down. Then the color on the outside changes to white or black.
The exterior of the BMW iX Flow is completely wrapped with simple digital screens of the above type. The entire color of the car can then be changed at the command of the user. Here you can get any color from white to black. BMW points out that such a color change is not just for changing the look of the car.
Due to the contrasting heat-sensitive properties of white and black, it is said that using white in the sun and black in the winter can reduce the energy consumption of the air conditioners inside the car. This would be especially useful for electric vehicles.
The company says the color change could be used to display other information, including the charging capacity of electric vehicles. Although the technology is still conceptual, it can be assumed that color-changing cars will be a reality in the future due to the lower power consumption, lower cost, and ease of design.
American automaker General Motors is also entering the fray for electric cabs . This is with the introduction of its latest electric cab, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, at CES this year. This car surpasses the Ford F-150 in terms of capability.
That’s because it offers more horsepower (664 bhp) and longer range (650 km) than the Ford. Featuring a variety of features and accessories, the Chevrolet Silverado EV starts at $ 39,000. The luxury car with the highest facilities here can cost up to US $ 105,000. The car is also expected to hit the market next year.
Move anything automatically
Hyundai has been acquired by Boston Dynamics, an American robotics company, since June last year. The conceptualized Boston Dynamics robot has been able to bring several designs to market for human use. This time, the robot designs were introduced at CES, including the Spot Robot from Boston Dynamics, which was developed using robotic arms. These are designed to travel to places where humans cannot travel in high-risk environments (such as radioactive, extreme heat, or space).
In addition, Hyundai is introducing small robots to transport any product according to its new Mobility of Things (MoT) concept. These are called Plug and Drive (PnD) modules. This is a small unit with a single wheel, a suspension system, a motor, a lidar sensor, and camera accessories. It has the ability to bypass obstacles and move to its destination automatically.
It is said that some of these can be attached to a product and move it automatically. Hyundai has also introduced movable safety cabins for people who have difficulty walking due to various disabilities. Though it is a conceptual one, they are of the opinion that it will be used for urban transport in the future as well.
CES 2022 also saw the introduction of the latest automatic tractors by John Deere, an agricultural equipment manufacturer. This year marks the first launch of agricultural equipment that can do all of the above without a driver, although the company’s production equipment is already semi-automated for landscaping, planting and harvesting on large-scale farms.
Cameras and other sensors mounted on these vehicles enable the farmer to carry out the entire field farming activities and to monitor all the activities from outside the field with his smartphone. It is said that this will be a successful solution to the huge labor shortage in the West.
Roborock Vacuum Machines
Robot vacuum machines for cleaning the floor have become commonplace today. Roborock Vacuum Machines is one such product that has caught the attention of many. They had introduced new features through their latest robotic cleaning machine. What is special about this device is that it undergoes self-cleaning after cleaning the floor. All the user has to do is remove the relevant dirty water or dusty containers and fill them with clean water.
Samsung has unveiled a small projector called Freestyle at the CES show this year. Designed to be portable, it is said to be capable of delivering high quality views. This device is designed to provide all the streaming features independently of a Smart TV if it has an Internet connection via Wifi. Accordingly, the user will be able to watch any service such as Disney +, Apple TV, Netflix or Youtube.
Alternatively, the Freestyle device can be connected to a computer and run like a normal projector. This small projector has the ability to provide an image on the screen of a smartphone. Additional features include automatic focusing and keystone adjustment. It also has a small speaker that can be mounted on a bulb holder and available as a power supply model.
Smart glasses and invisible headphones
TCL NEXTWEAR Air also unveiled TCL’s latest pair of smart glasses at this year’s CES show. The micro LED technology allows you to sense the view from a 140-inch TV screen. This portable movie screen helps you to watch movies or other videos on your smartphone on the big screen. In addition, the TCL NEXTWEAR Air Smart Mirror offers features such as providing information from another smartphone.
Noveto’s Noveto N1 Invisible Headphone is truly a new design. This is a small smart speaker and you can only hear it when you are sitting or standing in front of it. The sound waves it gives off work the way you would hear when you were wearing a pair of headphones.
This three-dimensional loudspeaker is designed so that you can pull your head slightly out of front of the speaker and kill it. This allows them to listen to music or anything else without the use of headphones. Priced at US $ 800, it will hit the market this year.
Rainstick Shower that saves bath water
A bathing water flower called the Rainstick Shower was seen at the CES 2022 exhibition. The specialty here is that 80% of the water we use for bathing can be purified and reused immediately for bathing. The water filters here are said to be able to completely remove viruses, bacteria, sweat and other contaminants from the bath water in 3 steps. The user only has to clean the filter once in a few weeks and it also has Wifi technology and voice support features like Google and Alexa.
Sengled, a smart home appliance maker, has developed a smart light bulb that helps maintain fitness. The sensors can calculate the heart rate, sleep, etc. of the occupants of the room in which it is installed. This information can then be accessed on a smartphone. It is said that if there are elderly people in the house, this bulb can also alert them if they fall.
Many innovations and technological innovations of this kind were seen at CES 2022. You can find out more about them by visiting the sources used to write this article.
